Wisconsin Schools of Character Committee
The Wisconsin Schools of Character Advisory Committee (WSOC) has been responsible for the Wisconsin State Schools of Character Award Program and Promising Practice Award in partnership with Character.org. The new role of this advisory committee is to advise the WCEP Advisory Committee on information related to the Schools of Character Program run by Character.org. This group is trained and knowledgeable of the SOC process, application, and evaluation rubric/scoring. The State Coordinator is the interface with Character.org on changes to any of the SOC Award Program and will work to communicate this to WCEP and to our partners promoting the Schools of Character program. The State Coordinator will also work to assist Wisconsin schools with questions they may have on the SOC application process and their schools’ readiness.
