Eleven Principles Training Site Wisconsin

Regional Site for Staff Development

The Wisconsin Character Education Partnership is seeking a regional site to provide training in the Eleven Principles for educators in Wisconsin.  This training will give Wisconsin educators the tools to develop comprehensive character education programs, and will also assist them in evaluating other character education programs, books and curriculum resources.

Funding Considerations

The John Templeton Foundation has challenged The Character Education Partnership (CEP) to establish regional training sites to educate teachers and administrators on how to apply the Eleven Principles.  The CEP’s established Eleven Principles training program would be replicated for our regional site.  The initial cost to establish a site and train the trainers is estimated at  $30,000 to $40,000.  After the initial cost, it would be a positive cash flow to the institution that would be selected.  The Wisconsin Character Education Partnership is focusing efforts on finding a site for the training, and on securing funds/matching funds to assist in the development of this training institute.

Once a training site for staff development in character education has been established, we will enter a second phase to match scholarships or funds for educators to take advantage of this professional development opportunity.
